Biographical / Historical
The Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia held at Spruce Street was established in 1833 by Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) out of the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia. This meeting was discontinued in 1903; its members were transferred to the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia (Hicksite).
