Abstract of a record register of manumissions for Westbury Monthly Meeting (book itself is 3.16). Notes include the name and location of the enslaver, the first name of the person manumitted, and the date of the certificate.

"A complete alphabetical list [by enslaver surname] of the manumision papers recorded in the book with the above title [A Record of the Discharges of the Negroes set at liberty by Friends of Westbury Monthly Meeting New York] which is in the Westbury Monthly Meeting safe."

Original certifiates, with seals, by Westbury Monthly Meeting members manumitting the people they enslaved.

Certificates include the full name of enslaver(s), the town of residence, the first name of the enslaved person, sometimes the person's gender and age, the date the enslaved person is to be manumitted if it is in the future, and sometimes the signatures of witnesses (in this file witnesses were generally also manumitting enslavers).
