Milcah Martha Moore commonplace book

Milcah Martha Moore, a poet, created a commonplace book featuring the women writers in her social circle. The commonplace book of Milcah Martha Moore includes excerpts organized by topic, including topics such as: Happiness, Supplication of a Sinner, and Affliction. The note in the front cover of the volume reads: "The Gift of Sarah Dillwyn to Martha Moore."

Elizabeth Hudson Morris diary

Abstract

Elizabeth Hudson Morris was a Quaker minister who traveled through the United States, Ireland, and Scotland. Diary entries describe Elizabeth’s travel as a Quaker minister throughout the British colonies in North America, as well as Ireland and Scotland, and Quaker meetings. Copied versions of letters from Jane Hoskins are also included in the volume.

Morris family commonplace book

This collection contains a Golden Wedding commemoration booklet, with poetry written by Thomas Wistar, marking the 50th anniversery of Isaac C. Jones and Sarah W. Jones in 1890. In addition, the collection also features Hannah Perot Morris's journal from her voyage to England and France in 1904 with her father, Samuel Morris.

Jane Rhoads Morris journal

Abstract

Jane Rhoads Morris's journal was written for her family at home during her trip to Canada during August and September, 1889. Her daily entries describe, in detail, her experiences camping in the Canadian wilderness, accompanied by her cousins and Indigenous people they employed to paddle them in canoes to and from each campsite, as well as interactions with Indigenous people the group meets during their travels.

Abigail Field Mott (1766-1851) was a Quaker writer and abolitionist. Her commonplace book includes poetry and extracts, a history of the Calliopian Society, Voyage to the Pacific Ocean by Stewart, Account of an Earthquake in Burmah in 1839, the Missionary School at Athens, account of excursion to Mt. Vesuvius, and a description of Iceland.
