Swarthmore College Student Council records
Contains the records of the Swarthmore College Student Council from 1943-2012, with gaps in some series. Student Council was created in 1937 as a companion organization to the Women’s Student Government Association (WSGA) and the Men’s Student Government Association (MSGA), charged with governing situations and activities involving both men and women. After 1970, Student Council has been the sole non-judicial student governing body on campus.

The Swarthmore College Women's Resource Center was founded in 1974. It was named the Alice Paul Women's Center until the name was changed in the early 1990s to the Women's Resource Center. This collection includes records relating to the founding of Swarthmore’s Women’s Center, minutes, logbooks, and other papers.

Frederick Barnes Tolles (1915-1975), Quaker librarian, teacher, and historian, was Director of Friends Historical Library from 1951-1970, and a member of the Department of History at Swarthmore College. This collection contains the papers of primarily relating to his books and articles on Quaker history and biography, along with other writings, including research notes on a proposed history of Swarthmore College.
