Edna Postlethwaite (1892-1972) graduated from Swarthmore College in 1914 and earned a masters degree from Columbia University. A Quaker and a member of New York Monthly Meeting of Friends, she was a teacher and involved in many social concerns. Emma Johnson Power family papers

Abstract
The collection contains primarily correspondence received by Emma Johnson Power, Swarthmore College Class of 1882 and a member of Green Street Monthly Meeting. A number of the letters were sent by her husband, Edward S. Power, a Philadelphia physician/pharmacologist, during his European travels. Also includes a file of genealogical and biographical information on the Johnson and Power families and a small amount of miscellaneous papers.

Abstract
The collection is composed of two family scrapbooks and acid-free copies. In 1894-1895, James M. Price researched information and correspondence concerning the time his aunt and uncle, Philip and Matilda Price, spent in the utopian community of New Harmony, Indiana, 1825-1826. Copies and some of his original correspondence were mounted into an old account book. In 1929, Susanna M. Price, his daughter, compiled a scrapbook containing family history, reminiscences, and photographs.

Abstract
William Webb Price (1892-1961) was a Quaker architect, teacher, and actor, of Rose Valley, Pennsylvania. The collection contains chiefly letters written by Price to his family while serving with Friends War Victims Relief Committee in France during and shortly after World War I; together with reports, financial papers, memorabilia, and printed material relating to Quaker reconstruction activities in France.

These genealogical papers on the Reifsnyder and Gillam families and collateral lines were collected by Howard Reifsnyder of Philadelphia and Langhorne, Pa. Most of the research was done by Ann Lane Scolley, dated 1901. Howard Reifsnyder was married in 1891 to Hannah Gillam, a descendant of a long-time Quaker family. The Richard Humphreys Foundation was created as the result of a bequest of Richard Humphreys (1750-1832), a Philadelphia Quaker who left funds for the establishment of a school for African Americans in Philadelphia. The school was founded as the Institute for Colored Youth. A group of Quakers, known first as the Association and after 1842 as the Corporation, oversaw the Institute.
