Friends Historical Library collection of journals
Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College has a large collection of Journals, the broad term which is also used to refer to diaries and daybooks. This inventory lists journals in Friends Historical Library, including those catalogued individually in MSS 003, Journal Collection, as well as volumes which are part of a larger collections and journals available in the Library on microfilm.
George M. Justice Memorandums, 1825-1861
George M. Justice was a successful Philadelphia merchant and important Hicksite Quaker. Beginning in 1825 until shortly before his death, he kept volumes of memorandum reflecting his thoughts on religion, the Hicksite Separation and its aftermath in Philadelphia, family information, astronomy, slavery, and other topics.

Lavinia Lloyd Knight Papers
Lavinia Lloyd Knight (1816-1863) was a Quaker, of Wilmington, Delaware. The collection contains corresondence with Knight's sister, Elizabeth Knorr Knight (1814-1841), lesson book and journal kept as student (1830-1832) of Eli Hilles (1783-1863), essays, poems, biographical material, and other papers.

Olga Lang Papers
Olga Lang (1897-1992) was a Russian Jew and Communist who lived in Nazi Germany, China, and, eventually, the United States. She taught Russian at Swarthmore College in the 1960s. After retiring from Swarthmore, she affiliated with Columbia University. The collection contains two versions of her unpublished manuscript “My Life in Germany Before and After January 30, 1933,” and correspondence pertaining thereto, with some additional miscellaneous documents.
