Allinson family scrapbooks
The Allinson family scrapbook is largely comprised of clippings on poetry, temperance, prison reform, reform for juvenile delinquents, and anti-slavery. Many of the anti-slavery clippings discuss the possibility of using Jamaica as a "home for colored emigrants." The end of the volume includes 12 pages of signatures. The volume also includes an obituary for Samuel Allinson.
William Dillwyn diary
William Dillwyn was a Philadelphia Quaker abolitionist who was tutored under Anthony Benezet. Entries describe Dillwyn's travels from his home in Burlington, New Jersey, to Charleston, South Carolina, including lists of things to pack, the voyage, and the weather. Later entries describe Dillwyn's time in South Carolina, visits with Friends, business, and Quaker meetings.

Sarah Cooper Tatum Hilles family papers
“A Short Account of a visit made by Isaac Jackson to Friends on the Western Shore of Maryland: 1776”
This collection is comprised of the single volume manuscript which describes Jackson’s interviews with Quaker enslavers in Maryland. The volume is organized by the names of individuals that Jackson interviewed, their reasons for enslaving people, and whether they could be peruaded to emancipate them.
John Greenleaf Whittier Manuscript Collection
John Greenleaf Whittier was a New England Quaker poet, journalist, and abolitionist. His poetry, inspired by his religious and moral beliefs, was well regarded during his lifetime, and he was respected by both Orthodox and Hicksite Quakers. The collection contains Whittier correspondence, manuscript poetry, books, photographs and miscellaneous material.
