Robert Lindsey journal
Journal of Robert Lindsey's trip to visit Friends in Iowa. Entries describe the journey, including descriptions of the weather, travel by horse and wagon over the prairies, the dangerous crossing of the frozen Mississippi River, the history of the Quakers in Iowa, Quaker Meetings attended, and visits to various Iowa Quaker families.

Edward A. Manice's "George Fox, Quakers, Negroes, and Slavery on Barbados 1671-1675" describes the ways in which Quakers in Philadelphia and surrounding areas engaged with slavery in Barbados in the 17th century. The manuscript was written as an essay for Manice's senior history class at Yale University.

This collection is comprised of Quaker marriage certificates from various Quaker families.
Josiah P. Marvel scrapbook
The scrapbook of Josiah P. Marvel includes Nazi documents, such as certificates and letters, from Marvel's time in occupied France during the summer of 1940, while travelling to and from Paris in service to the American Friends Service Committee. Documents include permissions from Nazi commanders in France, as well as The Hague and Brussels. Also included is a map of the location of prison camps, clothing lists, and a printed booklet on the National Work for Infants.

Correspondence of Quaker Mekeel family members and relatives in New York state, Ohio, and elsewhere, 1824-1851. Predominant among them are Arthur Mekeel (1826-1850), Caleb Mekeel (1743-1859), Isaac Mekeel (1823-1844), Joshua Mekeel (b. 1795), and Phebe Quinby Mekeel (1800-1861).
