Friends Historical Library cased photographs collection
This collection consists of miscellaneous cased photographs - primarily daguerreotypes and ambrotypes, with some other formats - collected at various times from various sources by the Friends Historical Library of Swarthmore College. Many were acquired as parts of manuscript collections of family papers.
John Henry Douglas papers
This collection is composed of three folders of typed transcripts of correspondence, manuscripts, and portrait photographs relating to John Henry Douglas (1832-1919).
Frank Evans collection
This collection contains materials collected and donated by Frank Evans, spanning the years 1776-1978. Included in the collection are the letters, inventories, business documents, stories, geneological records, photographs, and daguerreotypes of prominant Quaker families, the Smith, Evans, Carter, Cope, Waring, and Whiteall families.
Families of Philadelphia papers
Papers of the Philadelphia families Bloomfield, Coates, Cresson, Emlen, Gumbes, Horner, Howel, Lloyd, Macomb, Moore, Vaux and Wetherill families from the 19th and 20th centuries. Some of these families were Quaker, including Coates, Emlen and Vaux; others had some Quaker family members, including Cresson, other families, including Gumbes and Wetherill, did not remain Quaker.

Garrett family genealogical records
This collection is comprised of the Garrett family genealogial records, and includes manuscripts concerning family history, research notes, and photographs of family members.
Gummere family papers
This collection is comprised of the correspondence, photographs, and clippings of the Gummere family.
Jack Gummere photograph albums
This collection is comprised of two volumes of photograph albums which are largely comprised of the baby photos of John "Jack" Flagg Gummere.
Walter Hinchman portfolio
Walter Hinchman's portfolio of sketches and photographs includes the many of the plates used in his book, “Sketches & Poems.” The sketches were done during Hinchman’s time at a machine shop in Ohio at the end of the Civil War and on a survey trip (1867-1868) for a transcontinental railway from Kansas to California. There are sketches of the Pennsylvania Steel Company (1869), animals, flowers, trees, people, and landscapes.
Janney family papers
This collection contains Janney family papers, and includes family correspondence, newspaper clippings, financial records, legal papers, maps, and photographs.
