Taylor-Thomson Family Papers
The Taylors and Thomsons were Quakers from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, who married into the Knight, Clothier, and Shoemaker families. This collection includes correspondence, copybooks and albums, account books, family photographs, and miscellaneous clippings. Of particular interest is a large collection of deeds and some late 19th and early 20th century travel diaries.
The Harned (Moylan, Pa.)
The Harned was a non-profit boarding home for the elderly in Moylan, PA, under the care of Media Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. It operated under the direction of The Harned Committee. It was established in 1940 through the bequest of Quaker sisters, Phebe and Katherine Harned, and laid down in 1994. The collection contains minutes and reports, admission and financial papers, and other related information.
The Northern Association of the City and County of Philadelphia for the Relief and Employment of Poor Women records
This Hicksite Quaker women's charity was organized in 1844 and incorporated in 1856. Its mission was to provide employment in sewing for poor women. Lucretia Mott served as president until 1866. The Association went out of existence in 1926. The collection contains legal documents, financial records, membership list (1849-1872), reports, correspondence, and related papers.
The Temperance Association of Friends of Media (Media, Pa.) Records
The Temperance Association of Friends of Media was a Quaker temperance association in Media, Pennsylvania, established in 1883. The records include the constitution, minutes, financial records, correspondence, and related papers.
Esther Willits Thomas correspondence
The collection contains several groups of letters, all written to Esther Willits (Hettie), an assistant teacher at Westtown School.
Thomas family papers
This collection is comprised of a single folder of the papers of the Thomas family, and includes a letter from Thomas Jones of Haverford Monthly Meeting to Chester Monthly Meeting, documents related to the execution of a will, and a document pertaining to the purchase of land in 1682 by John Thomas and Edward Jones.
Thomas Family Papers
This small collection contains chiefly short manuscripts concerning women's issues, in particular suffrage and temperance. Most of the material, including essays on prominent Quakers and piece books, are by Ellen L. Thomas (1853-1925), a birthright member of Radnor Monthly Meeting and president of Montgomery County Suffrage Association
Thomas family papers
Contains primarily financial and estate papers of the Charles Thomas family of Montgomery County, Pa., especially the marriage settlement and estate papers of his mother, Sarah Roberts, widow of John Thomas. Also a brief account of the family estate by his granddaughter, marriage certificates, and deeds.
