Eleanor Stabler Clarke Family Papers

Abstract
Eleanor Stabler Clarke (1896-1995), a birthright Quaker, was active in the American Friends Service Committee and other Quaker organizations, and served on the Swarthmore College Board of Managers from 1935-1971. She was the daughter of Charles M. and Ida Palmer Stabler, and in 1918 she married William Anderson Clarke, Sr. Her sister, Cornelia Stabler Gillam (1898-1979) was active in the theater and performed for the U.S.O. in 1945 and 1946. The collection contains correspondence, journals, and other papers of the Robert and Elizabeth Clendenon family who served as Quaker missionaries to the Native Americans in Tunesassa, Cattaraugus County, New York, in 1812-1816 and were early settlers of Ceres, McKean County, Pennsylvania. Of special note are the diary and correspondence of Robert Clendenon. George D. Cock Family Papers

Abstract
This small collection includes George D. Cock's journal in two bound volumes of his trip in 1843 from his home in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, through Quaker communities in the East, including Philadelphia and Baltimore. The journal includes comments on his courtship of Susan W. Smith, who he married in 1845. The collection also includes a balance sheet from 1843 on freight carried, his marriage certificate, and a letter from his daughter, Marion Cock, which includes family information.

The signature album of Julia Cope Collins includes signatures, which are occasionally accompanied by a short note, quote, or sketch by the signer. According to the inscription on the front cover, this "Floral Album" was given to Collins by her mother in August of 1879.

Howard Comfort diaries

Abstract
Howard Comfort was a Quaker merchant in Philadelphia, and often traveled between Philadelphia and various cities in Great Britain on business. Each volume is a small “pocket diary,” and entries include lists of assignments and readings for class, notes, and quoted excerpts from materials Comfort had read, as well as descriptions of social calls and Quaker meetings.
