Most of the letters were received by Elizabeth Howell, many are condolence latters on the death of her mother in 1866. In addition to family news, there is a receipt for tuition at Friends Select School, a letter of acknowledgement from Israel Howell to Chester Monthly Meeting, and a short note relating the reaction of the author to the assasination of Abraham Lincoln. Overview Ann P. Jackson (1792-1874) was a Quaker minister of Darby and Birmingham Monthly Meetings in Pennsylvania. She was originally from Darby, Pa. and had two children, Mary and Stephen. Her children married another set of siblings, Philip and Ann Sharples Chester County. In 1831, Ann P. Paschall (later Ann P. Jackson) was recorded as a minister of Darby Monthly Meeting (Hicksite). Media Friends' Association minutes

Media Friends Association, a Quaker study and social group, was established in 1894 in Media, Pennsylvania, by members of Providence Preparative Meeting (Hicksite). The goal of the Association was to further discussion and knowledge of the history and testimonies of Friends, and the meetings, which included reports, papers, and readings, were open to all who were interested. Overview Pendle Hill is a Quaker study center located in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1930 out of an earlier Quaker school and study center, the Woolman School. The Woolman School was established in 1915 under the care of the General Conference Committee of the Seven Yearly Meetings (Hicksite). The Harned was a non-profit boarding home for the elderly in Moylan, PA, under the care of Media Monthly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends.
