Rockland County Peace Association Records
The Rockland County Peace Association was a small local peace group begun in 1930 to stimulate popular education and public opinion with a view to the prevention of war. It carried on relief work during World War II through the American Friends Service Committee.
Igal Roodenko Papers
Igal Roodenko was a pacifist, peace and civil rights activist, and advocate of nonviolence. He was a member of the War Resisters League Executive Committee, served on boards of A.J. Muste Memorial Institute and Consortium on Peace Research and Development (COPRED), and was active in Men of All Colors Together.
Arnold Satterthwait papers
This collection contains materials related to Arnold Chase Satterthwait, a Conscientious Objector during World War II. Most materials date from the period 1938 to 1950, and include correspondence to and from Arnold and about his imprisonment.
Scattergood Hostel and Scattergood Friends School photographs
Scattergood Friends School opened in Iowa in 1890. The school closed during the Great Depression, and was repurposed during World War II as Scattergood Hostel to acclimate refugees from Europe. In 1944, it reopened as a school and remains open today. The bulk of this collection is photographs of Scattergood Refugee Hostel, but there are also photographs of pre-war and post-war Scattergood Friends School.
Charles Schumacher Collected Papers
Charles Schumacher was a chemist, chemical engineer and conscientious objector to World War II. He entered Civilian Public Service in 1944 and served in three CPS camps.
Reed Smith papers
This collection contains the letters of Reed Smith during his time in Civilian Public Serice camps as a Conscientious Objector during World War II and during his relief work in France, Germany, and Poland after the war with the American Friends Service Committee.

This typescript by Lois V. Stanton entitled "Tales of a Haverford R and R Girl" describes the author's experiences training to perform relief work at Haverford following World War II and travelling to Europe with the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) between 1945 and 1947.
