Douglas V. and Dorothy M. Steere papers

Abstract Douglas and Dorothy Steere were prominent figures of the Quaker movement in the twentieth century, and deeply committed to the causes of peace and spiritual enrichment. This commitment is evident in their involvement with Quaker-led relief work after World War II, Quaker spiritual retreats, international diplomacy, and Dorothy’s work with the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s. This collection contains records created by the Women's Center at Haverford College. The materials begin in the 1970s during the creation of the center and extend through to 2019. Included in this collection are materials about the history of the Women's Center and coeducation at Haverford, log books kept by the staff members, posters about their events, publications they created such as Herstory and newsletters, information sheets about sex and other topics, and some photographs.

Charles Wood correspondence

Charles Wood was born a Quaker and later became a Presbyterian minister. This collection is comprised of eight volumes of his compiled correspondence.
