Lydia Swain Hinchman letterbooks
Each volume of Lydia Swain Hinchman's letterbooks includes both business and personal correspondence. Letters are addressed to both Lydia Swain Hinchman and her husband, Charles Shoemaker Hinchman. Generally, personal correspondence is addressed to Lydia Swain Hinchman, while business correspondence is addressed to Charles Shoemaker Hinchman.
Margaretta Hinchman letterbooks
Each volume of Margaretta Hinchman's letterbooks is organized alphabetically by the last name of the letter writer, and contains personal correspondence related to social events and social calls.
Howard Institution (Philadelphia, Pa.)
The Howard Institution was a Quaker women's charity founded in Philadelphia in 1853 to provide shelter to discharged female prisoners. Its scope was later broadened to assist more generally troubled women and girls. It ceased activity in 1956. The collection contains correspondence from 1942 to 1956, administrative papers, and printed reports and history.
Ann Jones Papers
This collection contains letters and other manuscripts relating to visits of English Friends to America in the 1820s and the controversies which led to the Hicksite-Orthodox Separation. Also included are letters from Elizabeth Rathbone, Liverpool, England, to "My Beloved Uncle;" Joseph Bringhurst, Philadelphia, to "My Esteemed Friend;" also Abel Thomas to Thomas and Mary Wistar (copy) as well as some miscellaneous Quaker papers.
Naomi and Rayner Kelsey papers
The papers include the correspondence of Rayner and Naomi Kelsey, a diary kept by Naomi Kelsey, sermons and talks of Rayner Kelsey, and a number of miscellaneous objects.
Mary Kite commonplace book
The commonplace book of Mary Kite includes extracts from her diary, correspondence, and an account of a religious visit to North Carolina. Diary entries concern family news, as well as Kite's attendance at Quaker meetings and social events.
Margaret Mary Clark Haines papers
This collection includes materials written by Margaret Mary Clark Haines, an English Quaker who moved to the Philadelphia area, letters written to her, minutes of the Philadelphia Mission Board, activities she was involved in, among other materials.
Morris family commonplace book
The commonplace book of the Morris family includes copied extracts from the journals of Margaret Morris, which include a description of Yellow Fever in Philadelphia in 1793, as well as copied poems, letters written by Mary Morris and Richard Hill Morris, and a clipped illustration depicting early settlers.

Newlin family correspondence
This collection is comprised of the correspondence of the Newlin family. The majority of letters are addressed to Rachel Newlin, written by her brothers, Nicholas and William, and her sister, Hannah Ann Walter. The letters discuss family news, social calls, and events attended, particularly marriages in the Quaker community.
