Anna Lau Familiar Places photographs

Abstract

The Anna Lau Familiar Places photographs contains 22 prints as well as a printed title page, table of contents, and artist statement from the "Familiar Places" photography portfolio created by Haverford student Anna Lau in 1995. All photographs are of the Haverford College campus, except for one of McCabe Library at Swarthmore College.

Leeds and Tatum family collection

Abstract

The collection consists primarily of photographs depicting various Tatum and Leeds family members, including Sarah Mickle Tatum and Lewis L. Tatum, and also Daniel Leeds and a picnic at the Joseph Sturge First Day School. In addition, there are commonplace books of Sarah M. Tatum, at least one kept while she was a student at Westtown Boarding School in Westtown, Pennsylvania, and of Lewis L. Tatum.

John Masefield collection

Abstract The poet John Masefield was born on June 1, 1878 in Ledbury, Herefordshire, England. Masefield was best known for his sea poems, including "Sea Fever" and "Cargoes," and for his long, narrative poems, including "The Everlasting Mercy." He also wrote adventure novels, short stories, and works for children, as well as two autobiographical works. Abstract Machteld Johanna Mellink, celebrated archaeologist and professor of archaeology at Bryn Mawr College from 1949 to 1988, was born in Amsterdam, Holland in 1917. Joseph Mendenhall papers

The collection consists primarily of lively letters by Joseph Mendenhall, a Quaker bachelor, to his cousin.
