Biographical / Historical
Samuel Bowne Haines (1834-1913) was a banker employed by the Bowery Savings Bank. He was a member of the Society of Friends (Quakers) and a minister in New York Monthly Meeting. The son of Franklin Haines and Abigail Bowne, he married Rebecca Mifflin Rowland of Philadelphia in 1859. He died in 1913.
