This collection consists of the papers accumulated from 1987-1989 by Barbara Sprogell Jacobson in the course of researching and writing her and Norma Adams Price's book about the Foulkes: Thomas and Eliza Foulke of Gwynedd Friends Meeting: What Love Can Do. Thomas Albert Foulke (1893-1962) and Eliza Moore Ambler Foulke (1893-1987) were prominent members of Gwynedd Meeting. They served for the AFSC in Japan (1949-1950) and were influential in the unification of the two Philadelphia Yearly Meetings in 1956.

Thomas Albert Foulke (1893-1962) and Eliza Moore Ambler Foulke (1893-1987) were prominent members of Gwynedd Meeting. They served for the AFSC in Japan (1949-1950) and were influential in the unification of the two Philadelphia Yearly Meetings in 1956. Separated Materials
A photograph of the George School Class of 1912 was removed and placed in Oversize.
Processing Information
Consists chiefly of correspondence and tributes from people who knew the Foulkes and drafts of “What Love Can Do.” The materials were sorted and divided into three series. Photographs were removed for proper storage.
