Biographical / Historical
Friendship Preparative Meeting was active on the campus of Sidwell Friends Upper School. Its earliest records as a worship group showed regular Meetings for Worship from 1983-1987 during the school year.
In 1990, at the suggestion of members of Bethesda Friends Meeting, Friends Meeting of Washington began supporting a weekly worship meeting at Sidwell Friends. In 1992, Friends Meeting of Washington proposed establishing Friendship as a Preparative Meeting, which was approved. Friendship had stopped holding regular worship at some point before being laid down in 2010.
