Biographical / Historical
Southampton County meetings were divided and separated from the Lower Monthly Meeting in 1906. The southern meetings were organized as Black Creek Monthly Meeting, holding sessions at Bethel Virginia and, by 1917, at Sedley Virginia. Friends in the northern section of the county became members of Corinth Monthly Meeting. Black Creek Monthly Meeting was laid down in 1966 and members were encouraged to join a meeting of their choice.
