Mildred Pressinger (Kienbusch) scrapbook
Scope and Contents
The Mildred Pressinger scrapbook houses a very large one-volume scrapbook containing a great deal of material from Mildred Pressinger’s four years at Bryn Mawr College (1905-1909). The scrapbook contains a large amount of Bryn Mawr memorabilia.
The scrapbook consists of one volume. It contains many of the usual notes, invitations, and programs, but also much unique, smaller memorabilia such as hand-made cards, a great deal of Christmas cards and Valentines, and memorabilia from dances at BMC and other schools. The scrapbook also contains notices of meetings for clubs—notably the Christian Association and Undergraduate Association—and a large variety of correspondence. SGA is also well documented by the great number of announcements of meetings that list items on the agenda and an SGA rule interpretation guide.
This scrapbook contains a wide range of valuable materials. It would be of worth to anyone interested in Bryn Mawr history during the early nineteenth century, especially in SGA and the Christian Association.
