Biographical / Historical
Friends began meeting in Oxford in 1876, indulged by Pennsgrove and Nottingham. A First-day school was organized at about the same time. Oxford Preparative Meeting was established in 1883, under Nottingham Monthly Meeting. In 1927, the preparative meeting was laid down.

Volume 1.1 includes a "History of Oxford Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends from its inception 4th of 6th mo 1876 to 5th mo 1st 1910." Volume 6.1 includes minutes from the Preparative Meeting in 1883 and 1884.
