Scope and Contents
Williamsburg Friends Meeting’s digital records include minutes (2011-2020 with gaps), scattered 2010 newsletters, Spiritual State of the Meeting reports (2011-2018), records related to Mattaponi Meeting’s status change from Preparative to Monthly, and some member-related records and statistics.
Norfolk Preparative Meeting, which existed under the care of Williamsburg from 1992 to 2021, is also part of the Williamsburg Friends Meeting collection, and records include minutes (2017-2019) and Spiritual State of the Meeting reports (2011-2019).

Biographical / Historical
Williamsburg Friends began meeting as a worship group in 1981, and organized as a Preparative Meeting in 1982 under the care of Richmond Monthly Meeting. Williamsburg Meeting was granted monthly meeting status by Baltimore Yearly Meeting in 1986.
Williamsburg Friends Meeting previously had two preparative meetings under its care: Mattaponi (now a monthly meeting) and Norfolk (which was laid down in 2021).
