Part 2 of the lecture book is titled "Applications of the Principles" and begins with Book 1, which is titled "Duties Arising out of the Union of Our Two Natures." Historical Note
This lecture book was created for use by the Haverford School, the former name of Haverford College. The lecture book was created between 1833 and 1856, the years between the College's inception and its name change to Haverford College. The lecture book employs ideas found in the Old and New Testaments and the works of prominent philosophers, specifically Kant's principle of Duty. It's possible that these lectures were written by Daniel B. Smith, the first president of Haverford College and a professor of moral philosophy.
