Scope and Contents
The collection contains one printed copy of the Restrained Gourmet recipe book. The recipe book contains five recipes, ranging from pickled Chinese radish to tiramisu. The book also contains a letter from the founders and a list of “friends,” who were possibly contributors to the issue.

Biographical / Historical
Restrained Gourmet was a student-produced recipe book. Restrained Gourmet described themselves as “restrained” because most of the ingredients in their recipes were cheap and easily accessible at local markets. The recipe book aimed to show how “Cooking for friends can be an inspiring experience.”
