This collection primarily contains correspondence to Ellie (Eleanor) Starr Ecroyd and Sarah Parvin Starr. in particular it has letters from Ellie's daugher Lizzie, written while she was at Westtown School, and letters betweeen Richard and Ellie.

Biographical / Historical
Eleanor Starr Ecroyd (1842-1923) lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her husband Richard (1840-1913). They were part of Pennsdale and Muncy Monthly Meeting. They had five children - Elizabeth (Lizzie), Annie, Margery, Sarah, and Frances.
Sarah Parvin Starr was Eleanor's mother, Sarah was married to William Starr.
