Friends Center City Retirement Community records
Scope and Contents
This collection contains materials belonging to Ted Reed related to the Friends Center City Retirement Community. The abbreviations FCCRC and FCC both refer to the community, and FitC referes to Friends in the City. 22 Front St. and Riverfront refer to the same property and are often used interchangably; 22 Front St. is the address and Riverfront is the name of the building. Please note that much of the materials were printed on the back of other documents to save paper. The older documents sometimes also relate to the retirement community, but are most often survey results from the reed | group that do not relate to the community.

Abstract
This collection contains materials belonging to Ted Reed related to the Friends Center City Retirement Community (FCCRC or FCC), a non-profit retirement community in downtown Philadelphia.
Arrangement
This collection is sorted into five main series: Board Materials, Planning and Development, FitC, Information for Residents, and Miscellaneous.
Board Materials is divided further into Meeting Minutes, Strategic Plan, and Other. Planning and Development is divided into Consulting Materials, Market Research, Marketing Materials, Partnerships, Site Purchasing and Development, and Site Management. Within the Market Research folder, newspapers and other articles are arranged first, followed by other types of market research.
FitC is divided into Planning and Marketing Materials and Correspondence. The Information for Residents and Miscellaneous series are not divided further. Within each sub-series, folders are arranged by date and then alphabetically if necessary except for cases where it made more sense to arrange the folders differently (for example, in board meeting minutes, folders holding minutes from consecutive months were arranged together despite some folders having materials from other years as well). If a folder title includes "folder #," this indicates that the contents of this folder were orginally housed with another and were spit into an appropriate number of folders so that they did not overflow.
