This collection consists of four letters between Karl Fischer and Thomas Edward Drake. The main topics of the letters are the exchange of a set of images of Frankfurt, Germany during visits of George Fox and William Penn and Fischer's interest in early history of the Society of Friends.

Biographical / Historical
No information can be found on Karl Fischer. Per Stanford Alumni Magazine, May/June 1999 edition, Thomas Edward Drake attended Stanford and after receiving a master's degree from the University of Michigan and a doctorate in American history from Yale, he taught at the University of Minnesota. He joined the history department at Haverford College in 1936 and served as chairman of the department and curator of the Quaker Collections of the Haverford College Library, retiring in 1962.
