Quakers in the Carribbean first settled in Barbados in 1655 and spread all throughout various island nations, including Jamaica and the British Virgin Islands. The Quaker meeting in the British Virgin Islands first began in the former capital Virgin Gorda and later moved to the new capital in Tortola.
