Biographical Note
John G. Whittier was born on December 17th, 1807 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He was an American Quaker poet and abolitionist. Whittier passed away on September 7th, 1892. William Henry Channing was born on May 25th, 1810 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was an American Unitarian writer, clergyman, and philosopher. He passed away on December 23rd, 1884.
