Biographical Note
Rachel Wilson (1722-1775) was born in 1722, the daughter of John and Deborah Wilson, in Kendal, England. Wilson was first recognized a Quaker minister circa 1739, at age 18. In 1742, she married Isaac Wilson, and the couple had nine children. Wilson made a religious visit to the British colonies in North America in 1768, and attended the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in the fall of 1769, where she addressed John Woolman. Rachel Wilson died March 18, 1775, near London.
