This collection is comprised of eight volumes of the compiled correspondence of Charles Wood. Each volume contains personal correspondence from family and friends related to Wood's education, news of his family, and discussions of social outings and cricket. This collection is foldered.

Biographical Note
Charles Wood (1851-?) was born June 3, 1851, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of John T. Wood and May Lyon Wood. Wood was educated at Haverford College, where he received his bachelor's in 1870 and master's in 1873, and Princeton Theological Seminary, where he was given the degree of Doctor of Divinity in 1885. After his graduation from Princeton, Wood was ordained a minister of the Presbyterian Church. He served as a pastor at the Central Church, Buffalo, New York (1873-1878), the First Church at Germantown, Pennsylvania (1886-1896), the Second Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1896-1908), and the Church of the Covenant of Washington D.C. (1908 until his retirement in 1928).
Charles Wood was also an author, and his works included "Saunterings in Europe" (1882), "Beginning Life" (1887), "Friends and Foes of Youth" (1898), and "Some Moral and Religious Aspects of War" (1915).
Charles Wood married Mary Hollingsworth Morris in 1883, and the couple had six children: Margaret E. (1883), William P. (1884), Emily (1887), James S. (1889), Mary E. (1890), and Catherine N. (1891). After the death of Mary in 1891, Wood married Alice Cox in 1905.
Charles Wood died in New York in 1936.
