This collection is comprised of the single volume commonplace book of Mary Kite, which includes extracts from her diary, correspondence, and an account of a religious visit to North Carolina. Diary entries concern family news, as well as Kite's attendance at Quaker meetings and social events.

Biographical Note
Mary Kite (1792-1861) was born on July 7, 1792, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Benjamin and Rebecca Kite. She died in Birmingham, Pennsylvania, on March 22, 1861.
