Biographical Note
George Bacon Wood (1832-1909) was born on January 8, 1832, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of Horatio Curtis Wood (1803-1879) and Elizabeth Head Bacon (1807-1846). He married Julia K. Reeves on October 13, 1858, and the couple had one son, George Whitney Wood (1872-1933). George Bacon Wood died on June 17, 1909.
