Biographical Note
Arthur J. Mekeel served in the Technical Assistance program at the United States Department of State, and was a T. Wistar Brown Fellow at Haverford College during 1976. He was a Quaker historian, and wrote many papers on the topic, including: Glimpses into Haverford Quakeriana (1936), A Quaker Loyalist and General Washington (1938), New York Quakers in the American Revolution (1940), Friends University: The Growth of an Idea (1948), and Elias Hicks on the Revolution and the Great Seperation of 1827-1828 (1979).
