Biographical Note
Josiah H. Branson (ca. 1829-1861) was born about 1829, in Salem, New Jersey. In the 1860 United States Federal Census, Branson was reported to be a "Mutlatto" "master shoemaker" in Philadelphia, where he employed a young apprentice. Josiah H. Branson died in June, 1861.
