Historical Note
"Rules for Freshmen" was a tradition amongst Haverford sophomores. They are a large list of rules made by the sophomores for the new freshmen in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. They were written at the beginning of the school year in the fall. The rules detailed things that the freshmen could and couldn't do, all dictated by the sophomores.
