Biographical / Historical
Thirteen people graduated with the Haverford College Class of 1882, and an additional seven people were a part of the class at one point but did not graduate with them.
George Aaron Barton was a member of the Class of 1882. While he was at Haverford, he was editor of The Haverfordian, the president of the Everett Society and the Y.M.C.A., and the class valedictorian. After receiving a master of arts degree from Haverford, he received a master of arts and a PhD. from Harvard University. He later became a professor of Biblical Literature at Bryn Mawr College.
