Historical Note

The mission statement of E-Haus in 2018 reads: "Ehaus is a group of students modeling a cooperative lifestyle as a commitment to strengthening our environmental consciousness. We are an intentional community that strives to eat ethically, waste less, and find alternatives to environmentally damaging forms of consumption. These practices manifest themselves in nightly dinners as a haus, weekly community meals, and environmental education through speakers, films, workshops, and discussions. All haus members assume responsibility for contributing to the collective mission, while also holding each other accountable for our actions. Ehaus is redefined each year by the community members who live in the haus, and alongside our commitment to environmental justice, we want to cultivate a space for other forms of activism."
