Biographical / Historical
Known as the ASN, the AIDS Service Network group was revived in 2003 by Claire Fawcett, Class of 2006, to encourage the Haverford community to combat the AIDS epidemic. Students volunteered, planed special events, and educated community members on and off Haverford's campus. ASN was highly involved in the broader Philadelphia community, partnering with organizations like MANNA (Metropolitan AIDS Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance) and ASIAC (AIDS Services in Asian Communities). AIDS Service Network was funded through the College's Office of Community Service, and continued to run events regularly through 2019.
