This collection contains one pledge written by the Haverford Literary Society addressed to the council of The Haverford School, later Haverford College. The society pledges not to commit any act in their meetings that would be contrary to the rules or wishes of the school. The society also requests a meeting time and place. The letter is signed by the society's president and secretary.
