John A. Silver papers
Scope and Contents
This collection contains a memorial minute, correspondences and related materials of John A. Silver. Many of the documents have to do with the Haverford College Arboretum, to which Silver donated funds, and Silver’s recommendations on the financial situation at Haverford College through much of the 1970s and 1980s. Materials on admissions and aid as well as a general history of the college are also included in this collection, with both containing writings by Silver. All of the documents (besides the memorial) were contained in a three-ring binder, separated into subsections by labeled dividers, which remain in place.
