Biographical Note
Thomas Pim Cope Jr. was born in Phildelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 7, 1823, the son of Henry Cope (1793-1865) and Rachel Reeve (1794-1863). He entered Haverford College in 1835, and graduated in 1839. He married Elizabeth Waln Stokes (1823-1902) in 1849. He was a manager of Haverford from 1864 to 1871. He died in Germantown, Pennsylvania, on October 27, 1900.
