Scope and Contents
The collection contains a letter written by George Howland Chase to his parents from Haverford which he dated March 1848, a time when the College was closed due to financial difficulties. Included are also typed letters discussing this fact and concluding that George H. Chase must have made a mistake when dating the letter and that he actually wrote it in 1849.
