This collection contains the notes of Charles Wolfinger (Haverford College Class of 1940) on Thomas R. Kelly's class "Quakerism: History and Philosophy." The notes are incredibly extensive, covering many aspects of Quakerism from separatism to the lives of William Penn and Rufus Jones.

Biographical Note

This collection was created by Charles Wolfinger (Class of 1940). Wolfinger took Professor Thomas R. Kelly's class "Quakerism: History and Philosophy" in 1939. Kelly was a prominent Quaker educator, whose books were widely read by the Quaker community. Before becoming a professor at Haverford College, Kelly was a student who transferred to Haverford in his senior year. He was mentored by Rufus Jones until he graduated in 1914.
