This collection contains two photographs of Horace Alexander Beale, Jr. in Haverford College productions, "Bamboozling" and "Darlot." The collection also includes a letter explaining the photographs from Beale's grandson, Horace Binney Beale.

Biographical Note
Horace Alexander Beale, Jr. entered Haverford College in 1890 and left in 1892, at the end of his sophomore year. While at Haverford, Beale was involved in at least two theater productions. After graduating, he worked as a chemist and was later president of the Parkesburg Iron Company in Pennsylvania. He was also involved in many organizations and clubs, such as Engineers' Club, Art Club, Racquet Club, and the Merion Cricket Club. He was born in 1870 and died in 1927.
