Benjamin H. Lowry orations
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of several orations by Lowry as well as his grades at the end of his senior year at Haverford College. The orations include "The Commonplace," "Daniel O'connell," "The Commence of Paris," which is one of his Junior Orations, his valedictory oration, and a few others. There's also a record of how many exams and books he had throughout his time at Haverford, as well as his exam rank during his senior year, his average for daily recitations in his senior year, and his final class rank in his senior year.

Biographical Note
Benjamin H. Lowry was a transfer into Haverford during his sophomore year in 1870. During his undergraduate years he wrote many orations, some of which are included in the collection, and he graduated as the valedictorian of his class. After graducation, he was a treasurerfor the Alumni Association from 1884 - 1885 and was the Alumni Association orator in 1891. He was also a laywer.
