Scope and Contents
This collection contains the typescript scripts and lyrics for the two-act comic opera "The Cannibals." The story follows cannibals on an island who encounter a shipwrecked group of suffragettes. The collection also includes a program from the performance of "The Cannibals" put on by The Players' Club of Haverford in 1914, as well as newspaper clippings referencing the performance.

Biographical / Historical
"The Cannibals" was written and scored by John S. Bradway (Class of 1911) with lyrics by his father William Bradway. The show was performed by the Players' Club of Haverford in 1914. Many of the performers in the comic opera were Bryn Mawr students, including Margaret S. Bradway, John S. Bradway's sister.
