Biographical
Charles Shoemaker Taylor entered Haverford College in 1867 and graduated in 1871. Taylor served as vice president of the Alumni Association and Manager of Haverford College from 1876-1880. He was a trustee of Bryn Mawr College until 1893 and was also a member of the Merion Cricket Club, the University Club, and the Haverford College Union.
He was born in 1850 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Abraham M. Taylor and Elizabeth R. Shoemaker. He married Rebecca... Hughes in 1873 and had five children with her. When Rebecca died, Taylor got remarried to Gertrude Allinson in 1894 and had three children with her. Charles Shoemaker Taylor died September 21, 1939, in Haverford, Pennsylvania, at the age of 89.
