Scope and Contents
This collection includes two copies of a letter written by Joseph Henry Wills and one newspaper clipping from 1933. In the letter, Wills writes to William H. Collins, explaining his memories of acquiring the new Founders Bell and how much the bell cost. The newspaper clipping pulls information from this letter and is titled "Founders' Bell Was Acquired Amid Great Excitement; Cost Was $250."

Biographical
Joseph Henry Wills entered the junior class at Haverford in 1866 and graduated in 1868. He was born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey in 1844.
